Mirko Borsche - Unplugged - Vernisage

Mirko Borsche, a bright talented graphic designer from Munich has come far when it comes to his work and therefore he now holds an exhibition in the renown 'Pinakothek der Moderne' in Munich.
If you have the chance you should definitely go and check out his hand painted posters he made for Zeit Magazine, Neon, Music Label Gomma, the Bayrische Staatsoper etc. etc.  (Read more here)

Yesterday's vernisage was a great cultural evening, in a wonderful location with many interesting people.

These three gals were the type of people you could find there. Young, interested in art, enjoying life and not taking it too seriously :-)

About a chair

The new addition to our home! To be more precise to our dining room table :)
...we were looking for ages until my boyf and me fell immediately in love with the chairs from Danish design furniture collection HAY 'about a chair' designed by Hee Welling. With a bit of help from our Xmas money we got two chairs.

We went for the black seating shell (as opposed to white) with wooden legs.

Take a look ...

Burgundy skinny trousers

Totally NOW and a good alternative to the usually black skinny jeans are burgundy coloured ones. I saw them on Alexa Chung and found mine at (believe it or not) Marks and Spencer! They are really skinny and have a zip at the bottom of each trouser leg. I will either wear them with my matching burgundy wedge brogues (from Goertz) or teamed with my H&M ankle boots (from one of my previous posts).

My first ever collage

This is my first attempt of creating a collage

Even though I’ve already been in my flat for 4 months, I’m still constantly needing, wanting, buying, finding and making new things to make my home the perfect place to come home to in the evenings after a long day at work.

I used 2 different thicknesses of paper and paste. As for my interior accessories I’m really into deep reds with blotches of turquoise I was delighted to find ‘Bethge Hamburg’s Klatschmohn wrapping paper – which is a thick paper with reddish poppies on a light turquoise underground. With a transparent paste I glued / painted over dark red fine silky paper. And voila, that’s how it turned out.
My boyf was so charming and said that it kinda looked like it was my first try... :)  Never mind, I think I will hang it up nonetheless as I’m fed up with the naked and bare walls! However, before I do that I need a frame... (watch this space)

the result
A brush and paste is what you need

Poppies Day - Trafalgar Square

As it was Poppies Day / Remembrance Day in London (11th Nov) while we were there the fountain at Trafalgar Square was full of poppies and touching little notes.

Here are some more nice, cool, cosy and comfy places we stopped by during our London trip. What a shame I didn’t capture all the cool outfits I spotted! ...but I forgot to charge my camera and bring my charger – hence the iPhone pics only.
